Ko cāhāro sattannaṃ bojjhaṅgānaṃ? ‘Cattāro satipaṭṭhānā’tissa vacanīyaṃ. Cattāropāhaṃ, bhikkhave, satipaṭṭhāne sāhāre vadāmi, no anāhāre. ‘‘Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, uparipabbate thullaphusitake deve vassante taṃ udakaṃ yathāninnaṃ pavattamānaṃ…pe… evametassa mahāsamuddassa sāgarassa āhāro hoti, evañca pāripūri. Evamevaṃ kho, bhikkhave, sappurisasaṃsevo paripūro saddhammassavanaṃ paripūreti…pe… evametissā vijjāvimuttiyā āhāro hoti, evañca pāripūrī’’ti. Dutiyaṃ.

3. Niṭṭhaṅgatasuttaṃ

63. ‘‘Ye keci, bhikkhave, mayi niṭṭhaṃ gatā sabbe te diṭṭhisampannā. Tesaṃ diṭṭhisampannānaṃ pañcannaṃ idha niṭṭhā, pañcannaṃ idha vihāya niṭṭhā. Katamesaṃ pañcannaṃ idha niṭṭhā? Sattakkhattuparamassa , kolaṃkolassa, ekabījissa, sakadāgāmissa, yo ca diṭṭheva dhamme arahā – imesaṃ pañcannaṃ idha niṭṭhā. Katamesaṃ pañcannaṃ idha vihāya niṭṭhā? 4. Aveccappasannasuttaṃ

64. ‘‘Ye keci, bhikkhave, mayi aveccappasannā, sabbe te sotāpannā. Tesaṃ sotāpannānaṃ pañcannaṃ idha niṭṭhā, pañcannaṃ idha vihāya niṭṭhā. Katamesaṃ pañcannaṃ idha niṭṭhā? Sattakkhattuparamassa, kolaṃkolassa, ekabījissa, sakadāgāmissa, yo ca diṭṭheva dhamme arahā – imesaṃ pañcannaṃ idha niṭṭhā. Katamesaṃ pañcannaṃ idha vihāya niṭṭhā? "诸比丘，我说明解脱是有食的，不是无食的。什么是明解脱之食？应说是'七觉支'。诸比丘，我说七觉支是有食的，不是无食的。什么是七觉支之食？应说是'四念处'。诸比丘，我说四念处是有食的，不是无食的。什么是四念处之食？应说是'三种善行'。诸比丘，我说三种善行是有食的，不是无食的。什么是三种善行之食？应说是'防护诸根'。诸比丘，我说防护诸根是有食的，不是无食的。什么是防护诸根之食？应说是'正念正知'。诸比丘，我说正念正知是有食的，不是无食的。什么是正念正知之食？应说是'如理作意'。诸比丘，我说如理作意是有食的，不是无食的。什么是如理作意之食？应说是'信'。诸比丘，我说信是有食的，不是无食的。什么是信之食？应说是'听闻正法'。诸比丘，我说听闻正法是有食的，不是无食的。什么是听闻正法之食？应说是'亲近善人'。
"诸比丘，如是亲近善人圆满则令听闻正法圆满，听闻正法圆满则令信圆满，信圆满则令如理作意圆满，如理作意圆满则令正念正知圆满，正念正知圆满则令防护诸根圆满，防护诸根圆满则令三种善行圆满，三种善行圆满则令四念处圆满，四念处圆满则令七觉支圆满，七觉支圆满则令明解脱圆满；如是此为明解脱之食，如是得以圆满。
"诸比丘，譬如在山顶上，天降大雨，水随低处流下⋯⋯如是此为大海之食，如是得以圆满。正是如此，诸比丘，亲近善人圆满则令听闻正法圆满⋯⋯如是此为明解脱之食，如是得以圆满。"第二。
3. 究竟经
"诸比丘，凡是于我得究竟者，皆为具足见者。此等具足见者中，五种在此究竟，五种离此究竟。哪五种在此究竟？最多七返者、家家者、一种子者、一来者，及现法中阿罗汉者——此五种在此究竟。哪五种离此究竟？中般涅槃者、生般涅槃者、无行般涅槃者、有行般涅槃者、上流至色究竟者——此五种离此究竟。诸比丘，凡是于我得究竟者，皆为具足见者。此等具足见者中，此五种在此究竟，此五种离此究竟。"第三。
4. 证净经
"诸比丘，凡是于我证净者，皆为预流者。此等预流者中，五种在此究竟，五种离此究竟。哪五种在此究竟？最多七返者、家家者、一种子者、一来者，及现法中阿罗汉者——此五种在此究竟。哪五种离此究竟？中般涅槃者、生般涅槃者、无行般涅槃者、有行般涅槃者、上流至色究竟者——此五种离此究竟。诸比丘，凡是于我证净者，皆为预流者。此等预流者中，此五种在此究竟，此五种离此究竟。"第四。
5. 第一乐

65. Ekaṃ samayaṃ āyasmā sāriputto magadhesu viharati nālakagāmake. Atha kho sāmaṇḍakāni paribbājako yenāyasmā sāriputto tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā āyasmatā sāriputtena saddhiṃ sammodi. Sammodanīyaṃ kathaṃ sāraṇīyaṃ vītisāretvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho sāmaṇḍakāni paribbājako āyasmantaṃ sāriputtaṃ etadavoca –

‘‘Kiṃ nu kho, āvuso sāriputta, sukhaṃ, kiṃ dukkha’’nti? ‘‘Abhinibbatti kho, āvuso , dukkhā, anabhinibbatti sukhā. Abhinibbattiyā, āvuso, sati idaṃ dukkhaṃ pāṭikaṅkhaṃ – sītaṃ uṇhaṃ jighacchā pipāsā uccāro passāvo aggisamphasso daṇḍasamphasso satthasamphasso ñātīpi mittāpi saṅgamma samāgamma rosenti. Abhinibbattiyā, āvuso, sati idaṃ dukkhaṃ pāṭikaṅkhaṃ. Anabhinibbattiyā, āvuso, sati idaṃ sukhaṃ pāṭikaṅkhaṃ – na sītaṃ na uṇhaṃ na jighacchā na pipāsā na uccāro na passāvo na aggisamphasso na daṇḍasamphasso na satthasamphasso ñātīpi mittāpi saṅgamma samāgamma na rosenti. 6. Dutiyasukhasuttaṃ

一时，具寿舍利弗住在摩揭陀国那罗伽村。时，沙门陀迦尼游行者来至具寿舍利弗处，来已与具寿舍利弗互相问候。寒暄叙旧已，坐于一旁。坐于一旁的沙门陀迦尼游行者对具寿舍利弗如是说：
"朋友舍利弗，什么是乐，什么是苦？""朋友，再生是苦，不再生是乐。朋友，有再生时，当预期此等苦——冷、热、饥、渴、大便、小便、触火、触杖、触刀，亲友聚集而来使人愤怒。朋友，有再生时，当预期此等苦。朋友，无再生时，当预期此等乐——无冷、无热、无饥、无渴、无大便、无小便、无触火、无触杖、无触刀，亲友聚集而来不使人愤怒。朋友，无再生时，当预期此等乐。"第五。
6. 第二乐经
一时，具寿舍利弗住在摩揭陀国那罗伽村。时，沙门陀迦尼游行者来至具寿舍利弗处，来已与具寿舍利弗互相问候。寒暄叙旧已，坐于一旁。坐于一旁的沙门陀迦尼游行者对具寿舍利弗如是说：

朋友，有欢喜时，当预期此等乐——行走时得安乐，站立时⋯⋯坐时⋯⋯卧时⋯⋯至村时⋯⋯至林时⋯⋯至树下时⋯⋯至空屋时⋯⋯至露地时⋯⋯在比丘中时得安乐。朋友，有欢喜时，当预期此等乐。"第六。
7. 第一那罗迦般那经

67. Ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā kosalesu cārikaṃ caramāno mahatā bhikkhusaṅghena saddhiṃ yena naḷakapānaṃ nāma kosalānaṃ nigamo tadavasari. Tatra sudaṃ bhagavā naḷakapāne viharati palāsavane. Tena kho pana samayena bhagavā tadahuposathe bhikkhusaṅghaparivuto nisinno hoti. Atha kho bhagavā bahudeva rattiṃ bhikkhūnaṃ dhammiyā kathāya sandassetvā samādapetvā samuttejetvā sampahaṃsetvā tuṇhībhūtaṃ tuṇhībhūtaṃ bhikkhusaṅghaṃ anuviloketvā āyasmantaṃ sāriputtaṃ āmantesi –

‘‘Vigatathinamiddho [vigatathīnamiddho (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)] kho, sāriputta, bhikkhusaṅgho. Paṭibhātu taṃ, sāriputta , bhikkhūnaṃ dhammī kathā. Piṭṭhi me āgilāyati; tamahaṃ āyamissāmī’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho āyasmā sāriputto bhagavato paccassosi.

Atha kho bhagavā catugguṇaṃ saṅghāṭiṃ paññāpetvā dakkhiṇena passena sīhaseyyaṃ kappesi pāde pādaṃ accādhāya sato sampajāno uṭṭhānasaññaṃ manasi karitvā. Tatra kho āyasmā sāriputto bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘āvuso bhikkhave’’ti. ‘‘Āvuso’’ti kho te bhikkhū āyasmato sāriputtassa paccassosuṃ. Āyasmā sāriputto etadavoca –

‘‘Yassa kassaci, āvuso, saddhā natthi kusalesu dhammesu, hirī [hiri (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)] natthi… ottappaṃ natthi … vīriyaṃ [viriyaṃ (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)] natthi… paññā natthi kusalesu dhammesu, tassa yā ratti vā divaso vā āgacchati, hāniyeva pāṭikaṅkhā kusalesu dhammesu no vuddhi. Seyyathāpi, āvuso, kāḷapakkhe candassa yā ratti vā divaso vā āgacchati, hāyateva vaṇṇena hāyati maṇḍalena hāyati ābhāya hāyati ārohapariṇāhena; evamevaṃ kho, āvuso, yassa kassaci saddhā natthi kusalesu dhammesu, hirī natthi… ottappaṃ natthi… vīriyaṃ natthi… paññā natthi kusalesu dhammesu, tassa yā ratti vā divaso vā āgacchati, hāniyeva pāṭikaṅkhā kusalesu dhammesu no vuddhi.

‘‘Assaddho purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ; ‘ahiriko purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ; ‘anottappī purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ; ‘kusīto purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ; ‘duppañño purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ; ‘kodhano purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ; ‘upanāhī purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ; ‘pāpiccho purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ; ‘pāpamitto purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ; ‘micchādiṭṭhiko purisapuggalo’ti, āvuso, parihānametaṃ.

Seyyathāpi, āvuso, juṇhapakkhe candassa yā ratti vā divaso vā āgacchati, vaḍḍhateva vaṇṇena vaḍḍhati maṇḍalena vaḍḍhati ābhāya vaḍḍhati ārohapariṇāhena; evamevaṃ kho, āvuso, yassa kassaci saddhā atthi kusalesu dhammesu, hirī atthi… ottappaṃ atthi… vīriyaṃ atthi… paññā atthi kusalesu dhammesu, tassa yā ratti vā divaso vā āgacchati, vuddhiyeva pāṭikaṅkhā kusalesu dhammesu no parihāni.

一时，世尊与大比丘僧众一起在憍萨罗国游行，来到憍萨罗国的那罗迦般那镇。尔时，世尊住在那罗迦般那的波罗奢林中。当时，在布萨日，世尊坐在比丘僧众围绕中。于是世尊以法语开示、劝导、鼓励、令欢喜比丘们至深夜，然后观察寂静无声的比丘僧众，告具寿舍利弗道：
"舍利弗，比丘僧众已离昏沉睡眠。舍利弗，请你为比丘们说法。我背痛，我要伸展一下。""是的，尊者。"具寿舍利弗回答世尊。
于是世尊将僧伽梨衣四折铺开，右胁而卧作狮子卧，一足叠一足，具念正知，作意醒觉想。这时具寿舍利弗告诸比丘："朋友诸比丘。""朋友。"那些比丘回答具寿舍利弗。具寿舍利弗如是说：
"朋友们，若有人对善法无信仰、无惭、无愧、无精进、无智慧，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期衰退而非增长。朋友们，譬如在黑月，无论是夜晚或白天到来，月亮在色泽上衰退、在圆满上衰退、在光明上衰退、在高度和周长上衰退；正是如此，朋友们，若有人对善法无信仰、无惭、无愧、无精进、无智慧，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期衰退而非增长。
朋友们，'无信之人'，这是衰退；'无惭之人'，这是衰退；'无愧之人'，这是衰退；'懈怠之人'，这是衰退；'愚痴之人'，这是衰退；'易怒之人'，这是衰退；'怀恨之人'，这是衰退；'恶欲之人'，这是衰退；'恶友之人'，这是衰退；'邪见之人'，这是衰退。
朋友们，若有人对善法有信仰、有惭、有愧、有精进、有智慧，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期增长而非衰退。朋友们，譬如在白月，无论是夜晚或白天到来，月亮在色泽上增长、在圆满上增长、在光明上增长、在高度和周长上增长；正是如此，朋友们，若有人对善法有信仰、有惭、有愧、有精进、有智慧，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期增长而非衰退。
'有信之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退；'有惭之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退；'有愧之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退；'精进之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退；'有慧之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退；'不怒之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退；'不恨之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退；'少欲之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退；'善友之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退；'正见之人'，朋友们，这是不衰退。"


Atha kho bhagavā paccuṭṭhāya āyasmantaṃ sāriputtaṃ āmantesi – ‘‘sādhu sādhu, sāriputta! Yassa kassaci, sāriputta, saddhā natthi kusalesu dhammesu, hirī natthi… ottappaṃ natthi… vīriyaṃ natthi… paññā natthi kusalesu dhammesu, tassa yā ratti vā divaso vā āgacchati, hāniyeva pāṭikaṅkhā kusalesu dhammesu no vuddhi. ‘‘‘Saddho purisapuggalo’ti, sāriputta, aparihānametaṃ; hirīmā… ottappī… āraddhavīriyo… paññavā… akkodhano… anupanāhī… appiccho… kalyāṇamitto… ‘sammādiṭṭhiko purisapuggalo’ti, sāriputta, aparihānameta’’nti. Sattamaṃ.

8. Dutiyanaḷakapānasuttaṃ



于是世尊起身对具寿舍利弗说："善哉，善哉，舍利弗！舍利弗，若有人对善法无信仰、无惭、无愧、无精进、无智慧，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期衰退而非增长。舍利弗，譬如在黑月，无论是夜晚或白天到来，月亮在色泽上衰退、在圆满上衰退、在光明上衰退、在高度和周长上衰退；正是如此，舍利弗，若有人对善法无信仰⋯⋯无智慧，无论是夜晚或白天⋯⋯而非增长。
'无信之人'，舍利弗，这是衰退；无惭⋯⋯无愧⋯⋯懈怠⋯⋯愚痴⋯⋯易怒⋯⋯怀恨⋯⋯恶欲⋯⋯恶友⋯⋯'邪见之人'，舍利弗，这是衰退。
舍利弗，若有人对善法有信仰、有惭、有愧、有精进、有智慧，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期增长而非衰退。舍利弗，譬如在白月，无论是夜晚或白天到来，月亮在色泽上增长、在圆满上增长、在光明上增长、在高度和周长上增长；正是如此，舍利弗，若有人对善法有信仰、有惭、有愧、有精进、有智慧，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期增长而非衰退。
'有信之人'，舍利弗，这是不衰退；有惭⋯⋯有愧⋯⋯精进⋯⋯有慧⋯⋯不怒⋯⋯不恨⋯⋯少欲⋯⋯善友⋯⋯'正见之人'，舍利弗，这是不衰退。"第七。
8. 第二那罗迦般那经

68. Ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā naḷakapāne viharati palāsavane. Tena kho pana samayena bhagavā tadahuposathe bhikkhusaṅghaparivuto nisinno hoti. Atha kho bhagavā bahudeva rattiṃ bhikkhūnaṃ dhammiyā kathāya sandassetvā samādapetvā samuttejetvā sampahaṃsetvā tuṇhībhūtaṃ tuṇhībhūtaṃ bhikkhusaṅghaṃ anuviloketvā āyasmantaṃ sāriputtaṃ āmantesi –

‘‘Vigatathinamiddho kho, sāriputta, bhikkhusaṅgho. Paṭibhātu taṃ, sāriputta, bhikkhūnaṃ dhammī kathā. Piṭṭhi me āgilāyati; tamahaṃ āyamissāmī’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho āyasmā sāriputto bhagavato paccassosi.

Atha kho bhagavā catugguṇaṃ saṅghāṭiṃ paññāpetvā dakkhiṇena passena sīhaseyyaṃ kappesi pāde pādaṃ accādhāya sato sampajāno uṭṭhānasaññaṃ manasi karitvā. Tatra kho āyasmā sāriputto bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘āvuso, bhikkhave’’ti! ‘‘Āvuso’’ti kho te bhikkhū āyasmato sāriputtassa paccassosuṃ. Āyasmā sāriputto etadavoca –

一时，世尊住在那罗迦般那的波罗奢林中。当时，在布萨日，世尊坐在比丘僧众围绕中。于是世尊以法语开示、劝导、鼓励、令欢喜比丘们至深夜，然后观察寂静无声的比丘僧众，告具寿舍利弗道：
"舍利弗，比丘僧众已离昏沉睡眠。舍利弗，请你为比丘们说法。我背痛，我要伸展一下。""是的，尊者。"具寿舍利弗回答世尊。
于是世尊将僧伽梨衣四折铺开，右胁而卧作狮子卧，一足叠一足，具念正知，作意醒觉想。这时具寿舍利弗告诸比丘："朋友诸比丘。""朋友。"那些比丘回答具寿舍利弗。具寿舍利弗如是说：
"朋友们，若有人对善法无信仰、无惭、无愧、无精进、无智慧、无倾听、无持法、无考察义理、无如法修行、无不放逸，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期衰退而非增长。朋友们，譬如在黑月，无论是夜晚或白天到来，月亮在色泽上衰退、在圆满上衰退、在光明上衰退、在高度和周长上衰退；正是如此，朋友们，若有人对善法无信仰、无惭、无愧、无精进、无智慧、无倾听、无持法、无考察义理、无如法修行、无不放逸，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期衰退而非增长。

69. Ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. Tena kho pana samayena sambahulā bhikkhū pacchābhattaṃ piṇḍapātapaṭikkantā upaṭṭhānasālāyaṃ sannisinnā sannipatitā anekavihitaṃ tiracchānakathaṃ anuyuttā viharanti, seyyathidaṃ – [dī. ni. 1.17; ma. ni. 2.223; saṃ. ni. 5.1080; pāci. 508] rājakathaṃ corakathaṃ mahāmattakathaṃ senākathaṃ bhayakathaṃ yuddhakathaṃ annakathaṃ pānakathaṃ vatthakathaṃ sayanakathaṃ mālākathaṃ gandhakathaṃ ñātikathaṃ yānakathaṃ gāmakathaṃ nigamakathaṃ nagarakathaṃ janapadakathaṃ itthikathaṃ [itthikathaṃ purisakathaṃ (ka.) ma. ni. aṭṭha. 2.223 passitabbaṃ] sūrakathaṃ visikhākathaṃ kumbhaṭṭhānakathaṃ pubbapetakathaṃ nānattakathaṃ lokakkhāyikaṃ samuddakkhāyikaṃ itibhavābhavakathaṃ iti vāti.

Atha kho bhagavā sāyanhasamayaṃ paṭisallānā vuṭṭhito yena upaṭṭhānasālā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā paññatte āsane nisīdi. Nisajja kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘kāya nuttha, bhikkhave, etarahi kathāya sannisinnā sannipatitā, kā ca pana vo antarākathā vippakatā’’ti?

‘‘Idha mayaṃ, bhante, pacchābhattaṃ piṇḍapātapaṭikkantā upaṭṭhānasālāyaṃ sannisinnā sannipatitā anekavihitaṃ tiracchānakathaṃ anuyuttā viharāma, seyyathidaṃ – rājakathaṃ corakathaṃ…pe… itibhavābhavakathaṃ iti vā’’ti. ‘‘Na kho panetaṃ, bhikkhave, tumhākaṃ patirūpaṃ kulaputtānaṃ saddhāya agārasmā anagāriyaṃ pabbajitānaṃ, yaṃ tumhe anekavihitaṃ tiracchānakathaṃ anuyuttā vihareyyātha, seyyathidaṃ – rājakathaṃ corakathaṃ mahāmattakathaṃ senākathaṃ bhayakathaṃ yuddhakathaṃ annakathaṃ pānakathaṃ vatthakathaṃ sayanakathaṃ mālākathaṃ gandhakathaṃ ñātikathaṃ yānakathaṃ gāmakathaṃ nigamakathaṃ nagarakathaṃ janapadakathaṃ itthikathaṃ sūrakathaṃ visikhākathaṃ kumbhaṭṭhānakathaṃ pubbapetakathaṃ nānattakathaṃ lokakkhāyikaṃ samuddakkhāyikaṃ itibhavābhavakathaṃ iti vāti.

‘‘Dasayimāni , bhikkhave, kathāvatthūni. Katamāni dasa? Appicchakathā, santuṭṭhikathā, pavivekakathā , asaṃsaggakathā, vīriyārambhakathā, sīlakathā, samādhikathā, paññākathā, vimuttikathā, vimuttiñāṇadassanakathāti – imāni kho, bhikkhave, dasa kathāvatthūni.

‘‘Imesaṃ ce tumhe, bhikkhave, dasannaṃ kathāvatthūnaṃ upādāyupādāya kathaṃ katheyyātha, imesampi candimasūriyānaṃ evaṃmahiddhikānaṃ evaṃmahānubhāvānaṃ tejasā tejaṃ pariyādiyeyyātha, ko pana vādo aññatitthiyānaṃ paribbājakāna’’nti! Navamaṃ.

"舍利弗，若有人对善法有信仰、有惭、有愧、有精进、有智慧、有倾听、有持法、有考察义理、有如法修行、有不放逸，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期增长而非衰退。舍利弗，譬如在白月，无论是夜晚或白天到来，月亮在色泽上增长、在圆满上增长、在光明上增长、在高度和周长上增长；正是如此，舍利弗，若有人对善法有信仰⋯⋯有不放逸，无论是夜晚或白天到来，在善法上当预期增长而非衰退。"第八。
9. 第一论事经
一时，世尊住在舍卫城祇树给孤独园。当时，众多比丘在食后回来，坐在集会堂中聚集，从事种种畜生论，即：王论、贼论、大臣论、军论、恐怖论、战争论、食物论、饮料论、衣服论、卧具论、花鬘论、香料论、亲族论、车乘论、村落论、市镇论、城市论、国土论、女人论、英雄论、街道论、井边论、先亡论、种种论、世界论、海洋论、有无论等。
当时，世尊于傍晚时从独处起来，往集会堂去，到已，坐在所设之座。坐已，世尊告诸比丘："诸比丘，你们现在聚集坐在这里谈论什么？你们中间进行着什么谈话？"
"尊者，我们在食后回来，坐在集会堂中聚集，从事种种畜生论，即：王论、贼论⋯⋯有无论等。""诸比丘，这对你们这些善男子因信出家为无家者是不相应的，你们从事种种畜生论，即：王论、贼论、大臣论、军论、恐怖论、战争论、食物论、饮料论、衣服论、卧具论、花鬘论、香料论、亲族论、车乘论、村落论、市镇论、城市论、国土论、女人论、英雄论、街道论、井边论、先亡论、种种论、世界论、海洋论、有无论等。
诸比丘，这是十种论事。是哪十种？少欲论、知足论、远离论、不杂论、精进论、戒论、定论、慧论、解脱论、解脱知见论——诸比丘，这就是十种论事。
诸比丘，如果你们依据这十种论事而论，你们甚至能以光明胜过这些具大神力、大威力的日月，何况其他外道游行者。"第九。
10. 第二论事经

70. Ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. Tena kho pana samayena sambahulā bhikkhū pacchābhattaṃ piṇḍapātapaṭikkantā upaṭṭhānasālāyaṃ sannisinnā sannipatitā anekavihitaṃ tiracchānakathaṃ anuyuttā viharanti, seyyathidaṃ – rājakathaṃ corakathaṃ mahāmattakathaṃ…pe… itibhavābhavakathaṃ iti vāti.

‘‘Dasayimāni, bhikkhave, pāsaṃsāni ṭhānāni. Katamāni dasa? Idha , bhikkhave, bhikkhu attanā ca appiccho hoti, appicchakathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Appiccho bhikkhu appicchakathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ.

‘‘Attanā ca santuṭṭho hoti, santuṭṭhikathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Santuṭṭho bhikkhu santuṭṭhikathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ.

‘‘Attanā ca pavivitto hoti, pavivekakathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Pavivitto bhikkhu pavivekakathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ.

‘‘Attanā ca asaṃsaṭṭho hoti, asaṃsaṭṭhakathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Asaṃsaṭṭho bhikkhu asaṃsaṭṭhakathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ.

‘‘Attanā ca āraddhavīriyo hoti, vīriyārambhakathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Āraddhavīriyo bhikkhu vīriyārambhakathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ.

‘‘Attanā ca sīlasampanno hoti, sīlasampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Sīlasampanno bhikkhu sīlasampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ.

‘‘Attanā ca samādhisampanno hoti, samādhisampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Samādhisampanno bhikkhu samādhisampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ.

‘‘Attanā ca paññāsampanno hoti, paññāsampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Paññāsampanno bhikkhu paññāsampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ.

‘‘Attanā ca vimuttisampanno hoti, vimuttisampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Vimuttisampanno bhikkhu vimuttisampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ.

‘‘Attanā ca vimuttiñāṇadassanasampanno hoti, vimuttiñāṇadassanasampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā hoti. ‘Vimuttiñāṇadassanasampanno bhikkhu vimuttiñāṇadassanasampadākathañca bhikkhūnaṃ kattā’ti pāsaṃsametaṃ ṭhānaṃ. Imāni kho, bhikkhave, dasa pāsaṃsāni ṭhānānī’’ti. Dasamaṃ.

自己知足，也为诸比丘说知足之论。'比丘知足且为诸比丘说知足之论'，这是值得称赞之事。
自己远离，也为诸比丘说远离之论。'比丘远离且为诸比丘说远离之论'，这是值得称赞之事。
自己不杂处，也为诸比丘说不杂处之论。'比丘不杂处且为诸比丘说不杂处之论'，这是值得称赞之事。
自己精进，也为诸比丘说发精进之论。'比丘精进且为诸比丘说发精进之论'，这是值得称赞之事。
自己具足戒，也为诸比丘说具足戒之论。'比丘具足戒且为诸比丘说具足戒之论'，这是值得称赞之事。
自己具足定，也为诸比丘说具足定之论。'比丘具足定且为诸比丘说具足定之论'，这是值得称赞之事。
自己具足慧，也为诸比丘说具足慧之论。'比丘具足慧且为诸比丘说具足慧之论'，这是值得称赞之事。
